Telit is one of the first manufacturers to introduce modules for the Sigfox network
SIGFOX Ultra Narrow Band (UNB) technology is enabling a completely new and unique cellular network for cost and energy-constraint connected devices withlimited bandwidth requirements (1 kb/s to 10 bit/s).
The SIGFOX network is already already available in France and signed up partners in Netherlands and Russia. The roadmap includes coverage for 60 countries within the next five years.
Due to its low cost of ownership the SigFox technology opens up a new range of applications that are not feasible today with the bill of material and subscription costs of regular wireless networks.
The LE51-868 S is a high performance certified short range to long range module designed to cover the 863-870 MHz band working with the Telit Proprietary protocol and acting as a SIGFOX gateway. It has high value technical characteristics such as a -126dBm sensitivity, ultra-low power consumption and up to 15dBm of output power. It is very easy to integrate, with small form factor and acts as a long range communication module connecting directly to SIGFOX network. It can also organize in a "Star Network" topology or chain communication with embedded smart repeater function over a Telit proprietary protocol for short range.
